Click to the Endorsements page to see which candidates we have endorsed, and why. The endorsement process is carefully monitored by the national Club, and it usually involves first a questionnaire sent to all candidates in the particular race, then an interview of the more promising ones.
For state and local races the Northern Group's Political Committee, then the Northern Group's Executive Committee must have a 2/3 vote for the endorsed candidate. For national candidates, including the Congressional races, the final decision is made by the national Sierra Club political committee.
